Medicine Den

Wind swishes in the den in the side of the limestone bluffs that compromise a ravine. It is said that an ancient stream once flowed through the IceClan camp, but has since dried out and left both the dens and the Veins of Ice. Lichens, moss and ivy hangs over the entrance, and inside, the tunnel goes deep into the heart of the earth until you reach a tall, honeycombed circular den that extends up the world above with sunlight shafting through a distant roof of ivy, branches, moss and roots. Inside the honeycombs are vials of honey, heather nectar and mouse bile, alongside sticks with moss on top that can be dipped in the vials to lap the liquids up from (but not mouse bile!) Dried rosemary, wintergreen, marigold, lamb's ear, lavender, goldenrod, feverfew, horsetail, chervil, comfrey, juniper, ivy, dandelion, daisy, parsley and other herbs are carefully set in some of the holes, while others are empty or hold foxglove, hemlock, yew and deadly nightshade for the quick deaths of those who cannot be saved. One of them holds a large bundle of cobwebs that are kept moist by the water dripping down onto them constantly. There is some moss, heather, brambles and leaves spread out on the soft sandy ground, but the nests are cold.
