The Clan Territory

So, you want a full tour of IceClan's territory? We have a lot of land, since no other clans live near us and we have enough power to stake it all out, despite our dwindling numbers.

Outside the path winding down into camp, there is a vast forest filled with many, many trees. Much prey lives in these trees, but since we aren't SkyClan, we can't hunt most of that. The path, of course, is dirt, with many animal footprints lining it. It winds around our territory, and we sometimes can see Twolegs walking along it. I've heard that once, they went into camp and made a fire near our fresh-kill pile, roasting some of our prey and eating it. We hid in our dens, using moss, twigs and brambles to clog the entrances, but there was no need. After they left at sunrise, we used the embers of the fire to roast some prey, but soon the embers were just used to warm our nests in winter. Where that fire was, is now the Sand Pit.

The woods around our camp. It's only this thick during greenleaf.
After about a half a mile or so, the woods open up into a large meadow around the forest.

The grass is quite crunchy here, isn't it? The meadow is quite broad, filled with lots of fresh prey, so much that you're bound to step on something juicy. But believe me, the result can be disgusting if you didn't see it coming.
We're now heading towards the river, where there are quite a lot of stones you can cross to get to the other side. Fish dance in the water and frogs sun on the rocks, and the calls of birds echo through the woods.

Quite the paradise, isn't it?
We're heading through the woods again, up towards the lake ahead. As far as I know, the Twolegs haven't named it, but its really a pleasant place to collect your thoughts.

This isn't it, but this is where the river flows right into the brook. The gurgling water is really relaxing, even though Twolegs have dropped litter here. Quite obnoxious, aren't they? The mousebrains don't realize the majesty of the forest.

This is a small view of the pond. There isn't much prey here for some reason, but the almost-still water is very relaxing to gaze at.
We're heading back down the river to the camp, but first, I want to show you something in the territory.

This is the simply named Fire that burns day and night, regardless of the weather conditions, constantly. Some say that a dissenter of IceClan named Fire, who was supposedly Ice's mate, had the powers of setting a flame with a tiny spark, lit this fire and even today, it burns. But really, I think that it means some Twoleg supplies it with wood when no cats are near. After all, you can smell Twoleg stench pooled around it. They say that Twolegs can sense the magic in the fire; I say they just supply it with wood.
We're headed back to camp, so ignore the scents of those voles over there, and just follow me. We don't want to alert any wolves to us straying outside of our camp. They have an affinity to... be reckless.

We've now arrived at the leader's den again, behind this waterfall is the ending point of our tour. But before that, we still need to take inventory of the fresh-kill pile. Follow me.

Huh. Just a measly mouse. We need to go hunting soon.

Here's our Warriors den. I'm sure that somebody here would be willing to hunt for more prey...
Hmm, nobody seems willing. I guess we should stop by the other dens to see how they're doing.
It does look really small, but just like the leader's den, its actually HUGE.

This is our apprentice's den, underneath some loose dirt on the side of the cliff, opposing the warriors den. It's quite comfy inside, really. Lots of piled dirt that crumbles easily but is really sturdy, and generations of apprentices have scratched messages into the wood. Quite historical, really. After all, Ice's kits, Waveheart and Snowsoul trained here, and both of them were legendary warriors. You can still see their diary entries clawed into some of the wood here.

This is the med cat den, flanked by various plants that grow in the dirt. It's several fox-lengths away from the apprentice's den in the cliffside, just in case apprentices get hurt. I don't know why its not closer to the warrior's den, though, since they get hurt a lot more. It looks narrow, and it is, but it forks after about two fox-lengths in. The left path leads to the stores, where notches in the dirt and stone side store all of the dried, and sometimes fresh, herbs. It's a circular room with lots of notches, but recently, we haven't been able to find many, and the ones we do find oftentimes fall out when we're carrying them back to camp. The other fork takes you to the med cat's actual den, where a few small impressions in the dirt hold a low level of water, where cats are quickly diagnosed. Most of us have sleek fur, though, so the water is no problem. I think its there so that if there is blood coming from the cat, it can be more easily seen by the med cat. Don't worry; the water is changed every seven sunrises.
The med cat also lives in her diagnosis area, where there is a wide nest with a smaller nest next to it made out of the typical nest materials, alongside old herbs that have very little to no effect anymore. There are some holes that stream light into the areas.

Coming up here, we've got the imposing nursery, closer to the leader's den than the rest of the dens. It's not so bad, though; its really small after you pass by the large entrance with moist moss on the walls, little twigs and dead prey for kits to play with, and about five nests for queens to rest on.

This is the Elder's den, on the side of the clearing opposing the dirt path, which is near the apprentice's den and the med den. Lichen and moss are in fresh supply on the walls, and its very much secluded from exterior attack, meant to keep warrior veterans safe and to provide good ground for a last stand if intruders do surprise them.

Over here, hidden behind a bush, is the entrance to the tunnels that store dried prey for leafbare, where guests who can't fit into the rest of the camp go, and others. It's near the leader's den, where the dead are buried, too. Only the med cat, the deputy and the leader know the tunnel in here that leads to the Star Pyre. Over the seasons, cats have dubbed these tunnels "The Veins of Ice".

This is a view into one of the Veins of Ice. We're not going in there, though; a legendary warrior named Sparrowfoot came in here to consult StarClan without the leader's consent, and was never seen again.

Upriver, these are the Steps of Ice, where she made her legendary pilgrimage to the lake to drink from its waters and gain her great wisdom from her immense calm. They're really slippery at this time of year, but they serve as Highrock if for some reason, we can't access our own camp. Which brings us to...

We're peering down the sides of the cliff, where the waterfall cascades into the pool around the leader's den. Highrock is where I make all of my announcements, and where the deputy and certain warriors can rally troops, speak their mind, or other things.

This is just kind of a good impression of the Star Pyre, which resembles the Moonstone but is different in ways I'm not allowed to clarify at this time. :) Don't worry; the nose has long since been removed.
That's the end of the tour for now; I'll update it soon.
